‘Bluejay’ is the latest single from Runner, an LA-based songwriter. The track blends his trademark hi/lo-fi approach, with well-crafted arrangements and warm, memorable vocal melodies. The track was recorded during the same sessions as his debut full-length album, Like Dying Stars, We’re Reaching Out, back in February 2023, and adds continued evidence as to why it was such an impressive record. In an interesting analysis of his own songwriting, he says: “You’re trying to articulate something to someone, and it either doesn’t come out right or you end up not saying anything at all.
